Defective Product Claims In Nevada

Nevada Products liability law is used to provide a remedy when a consumer was injured because a product was defectively designed, manufactured or labeled. A Nevada defective product claim can sometimes be brought against any entity in the "chain of commerce" of the defective product such as the retailer, wholesaler, distributor and manufacturer.

The purpose of Nevada products liability law is to protect people from products which are
dangerous or have the potential to be dangerous. In Nevada, defective product law requires that consumers ought to be warned about any dangerous elements of a consumer product. A Nevada defective product claim can usually be supported if there were damages caused by the defective product, it can be shown that the design or manufacture of the product resulted in an unsafe product and/or that there was a failure to warn consumers of the dangers of the product.

If you or a family member were injured due to a defective product in Nevada, you may have the
legal right to recover money damages for medical expenses, pain and suffering, lost wages and sometimes punitive damages. Many familiar products can cause serious injury, disfigurement, impairment and sometimes death. Some of the familiar common defective product lawsuits have involved SUV rollovers, exploding gas tanks, tire blowouts and drug side effects.

If a defective product has caused you pain and suffering, you can get a free personal injury consultation with David Matheny, Esq. of the law firm of Dempsey, Roberts & Smith, Ltd. Our office is located in Las Vegas, and we provide legal services for personal injury claims throughout Nevada.
